1.Who we are
LC Security operates through two companies, which act as joint controllers:
- LC Security Kft., registered in Hungary, company registration number 01-09-450251, tax number 32934481-1-43. Registered seat: Fatörzs utca 10. 1. em. 3. ajtó, 1112 Budapest, Hungary.
- LC SYSTEMS LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 17008344. Registered office: 82a James Carter Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom.
You may exercise your rights against either company. We are present in Hungary and the United Kingdom. Depending on where you are, your personal data is protected under the EU GDPR and/or the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2.The personal data we collect
- Information you give us when you contact us (email address, name, company, role, message content).
- Information you give us if you sign up for a briefing (email address and consent).
- Technical information collected automatically (IP address, browser type, device, OS, pages viewed, date/time of visit).
- Analytics information via Google Analytics — only where you have given consent through our cookie banner.
We do not collect special category data and ask that you do not include it in messages to us.

4.Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Our website hosting — Vercel
- Our email provider — Google (Google Workspace / Gmail)
- Our database provider — Supabase
- Our analytics provider — Google (Google Analytics)
- Web fonts — Google Fonts
- Professional advisers and authorities where legally required
5.International transfers
Some providers (Google, Supabase) may store data outside the UK/EEA. We rely on appropriate safeguards including adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (with UK International Data Transfer Addendum where UK GDPR applies).
6.Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential cookies keep the site functioning. These do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are only set after you consent. You can decline and the site works without them.

- _ga_<id> — Google Analytics — Keeps session state — Up to 2 years

7.How long we keep your data
- Enquiries and correspondence: up to 24 months after last contact
- Briefing sign-ups: until you unsubscribe
- Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics retention setting)
- Records required by law: for the period required by law
8.How we keep your data secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures including access controls, reputable service providers, and limiting internal access. No internet transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and handle any breach properly.
9.Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to: be informed, access, rectify, erase, restrict, object (including to direct marketing), data portability, and to withdraw consent. Contact us using the details in section 12. We will respond within one month.

If you have a concern, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to:

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.
